Kirsty | Principal Social Worker

Kirsty is the Founder and Principal Social Worker at Mind Co. She graduated from Flinders University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) and Social Planning and has spent more than 15 years supporting children, young people, adults, and families across mental health, disability, and child and family services. Kirsty is also an accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Her work is grounded in connection, curiosity, and neuroaffirming practice, with a strong interest in supporting autistic individuals, PDAers, emotional regulation, anxiety, and families navigating complex systems. She is passionate about helping people better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change in ways that feel achievable and sustainable.

As both a therapist and a parent, including to a PDA child, Kirsty understands how overwhelming and isolating life can feel behind closed doors. Her lived experience deeply shapes the way she works, bringing compassion, flexibility, and a genuine understanding of the challenges many families face every day. She is committed to creating a space where people feel safe, understood, and supported without judgement.

Kirsty is particularly passionate about supporting PDA families and advocating for neuroaffirming approaches across education, disability, and mental health systems. She believes that lasting change begins with connection and works collaboratively with individuals, families, and support teams to develop practical strategies that honour each person's unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Sami | Senior Practitioner

Sami is a Registered Social Worker, Provisional Play Therapist, and Senior Practitioner at Mind Co. With more than 10 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, parents, and families, she brings a compassionate, neuroaffirming, and trauma-informed approach to her work.

Her practice is grounded in connection, curiosity, and a deep understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health, neurodiversity, emotional wellbeing, and family relationships. Sami is passionate about supporting children, young people, and caregivers to navigate challenges, build confidence, and strengthen their emotional and social wellbeing.

Drawing on a range of evidence-informed approaches, including play-based therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, and creative interventions, Sami tailors support to each individual’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. She has a particular interest in emotional regulation, resilience, self-esteem, communication, and helping families create positive and sustainable change.

Alongside her work with children and young people, Sami is passionate about supporting parents and caregivers. She understands the complexities families often face and provides practical, collaborative support that helps parents feel more confident, connected, and equipped to support their child.

Megan | Clinical Psychologist

Megan is a Clinical Psychologist at Mind Co with extensive experience supporting adults through a wide range of mental health and wellbeing challenges. She has worked across clinical, organisational, rural, remote, and Indigenous community settings, bringing a thoughtful, compassionate, and holistic approach to her work.

Her practice is grounded in curiosity, connection, and a deep respect for each person's unique story. Megan has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent adults and understands the impact that missed, misunderstood, or late-identified neurodivergence can have on a person's wellbeing, identity, and sense of self.

Megan is experienced in conducting comprehensive ADHD and Autism assessments for adults. She takes an evidence-based and person-centred approach, looking beyond symptoms to understand each individual's strengths, challenges, experiences, and goals, ensuring assessments are meaningful, respectful, and genuinely useful.

In therapy, Megan works collaboratively with clients to explore patterns, experiences, and systems that may be contributing to distress. Drawing on a range of evidence-informed approaches, including Narrative Therapy, ACT, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), psychodynamic, and somatic therapies, she supports people to create meaningful and sustainable change. Clients often describe Megan as warm, insightful, and deeply attuned, helping them feel both understood and supported throughout their journey.

Emma | Social Worker

Emma is a Social Worker at Mind Co who supports children, young people, and families using a relational, strengths-based, and neuroaffirming approach. Her work is grounded in connection, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the unique strengths and challenges that individuals and families experience.

As both a social worker and a parent of an Autistic, ADHD, and PDA child, Emma brings valuable lived experience to her practice. She understands the complexities families often face when navigating home life, education, and support systems, and is passionate about helping parents and caregivers feel supported, understood, and empowered.

Emma has a particular interest in supporting PDA families, helping them make sense of their child's experiences in a way that builds connection, confidence, and long-term capacity. She works collaboratively with families and, where helpful, alongside schools and other professionals to create environments where children feel safe, understood, and able to thrive.

With a background in community development, advocacy, and housing, Emma brings a systems-aware perspective to her work, recognising the broader factors that can impact wellbeing and family life. She has completed training in Narrative Therapy and Community Work through the Dulwich Centre and continues to expand her knowledge in neuroaffirming and evidence-informed approaches.

At Mind Co, Emma provides telehealth support to children, young people, and families, creating a safe, collaborative space where people feel heard, valued, and supported to move forward in ways that work for them.

Corrie | Social Worker

Corrie is a Social Worker and Therapeutic Specialist at Mind Co with more than 20 years of experience supporting children, young people, and families across health, disability, child development, trauma, and mental health services. Her work is grounded in connection, curiosity, and a deep respect for the unique experiences, strengths, and stories of every child and family she meets.

Throughout her career, Corrie has worked extensively alongside children with Autism, PDA, ADHD, developmental differences, disability, complex health needs, and experiences of trauma. She is passionate about creating spaces where children feel safe, understood, and empowered, and where families feel supported to navigate challenges with greater confidence and connection.

Corrie's approach is trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and relationship-based. Drawing on her extensive background in child development, play therapy, narrative therapy, developmental trauma, and creative practice, she tailors support to each child’s individual needs, interests, and goals. She has a particular interest in the therapeutic potential of play, storytelling, creative arts, nature, and meaningful relationships in supporting growth, healing, and emotional wellbeing.

Alongside her direct work with children and young people, Corrie is passionate about supporting parents, carers, educators, and care teams to develop shared understanding and practical strategies that promote felt safety, connection, and long-term positive outcomes. She believes meaningful change happens when children are supported by the people and environments around them.

Outside of her therapeutic work, Corrie is an award-winning writer, emerging illustrator, and nature enthusiast whose creativity continues to shape the thoughtful, strengths-based approach she brings to her practice.

Sarah | Occupational Therapist

Telehealth Australia Wide

Sarah is an experienced Occupational Therapist with more than 20 years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across a range of settings. She brings a warm, compassionate, and neuroaffirming approach to her work, helping individuals better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and achieve meaningful goals.

Sarah has a particular passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals, including Autistic people, those with PDA profiles, ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing differences, and nervous system-based challenges. She works collaboratively with clients and families through a sensory, strengths-based, trauma-aware, and connection-focused lens, creating safe and supportive spaces where people feel understood and empowered.

Throughout her career, Sarah has worked across paediatrics, neurological rehabilitation, community health, and disability services. She has extensive experience providing assessments, Functional Capacity Assessments, Assistive Technology recommendations, sensory assessments, parent coaching, and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs. She has a special interest in sensory processing, nervous system regulation, interoception, and Polyvagal-informed practice. 

As both an Occupational Therapist and a parent, Sarah understands the importance of looking beyond behaviours to understand what may be happening beneath the surface. She is passionate about helping individuals and families develop greater self-understanding, connection, regulation, and confidence in navigating everyday life.

Amanda | Admin & Accounts

Amanda is the Administration and Accounts Coordinator at Mind Co, supporting both the day-to-day running of the practice and the families we work alongside. With a calm, organised, and approachable nature, she helps ensure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly so our team can focus on providing quality support.

Amanda understands that navigating appointments, service agreements, invoices, and funding can sometimes feel overwhelming. She is committed to making these processes as simple, clear, and stress-free as possible, providing practical support and guidance whenever needed.

Her role is centred on creating a positive experience for the families and individuals who connect with Mind Co. Whether she's coordinating administration, managing accounts, or answering questions, Amanda is often one of the first points of contact and takes pride in helping people feel welcomed, supported, and cared for from the very beginning.
